Hot and sexy.. Namitha is one of the most talked about South Indian Actress of recent times. Born on May 10, 1980 in Surat, Gujarat as the only daughter of her family, she did her degree in English Literature from Ratnam Arts College, Surat.

Namitha first came into the limelight when she was crowned Miss Surat in 1988. Later in 2001, she participated in Miss India contest along with Trisha Krishnan and Celina Jaitley. Prior to her entry into films, this sexy six foot tall actress glittered in the modeling world and modelled for various TV commercials like Himami cream & hand soap, Amul Ice Cream, Manekchand Gutka, Nile herbal shampoo etc.

Later, Namitha was introduced to films through a Telegu movie 'Sontham' (2002) and shot to stardom with the success of the Tamil film 'Engal Anna' (2004) together with veteran actor Vijayakanth. Her song "Arjuna Arjuna" from the Tamil movie 'Aaii' (2005), along with Sarath Kumar was a big hit and from then on, for Namitha there was no looking back.

Besides Tamil and Telegu she has acted in English, Malayalam and Kannada films also. The talented actress with her voluptuous body and sexy look has stolen the hearts of youngsters in the south.
